Upload from an existing folder

Hi,
I already have a folder with all the images that I would like to be showed by phoca gallery.

Is it possible to specify this folder to phoca gallery?

I would like, once I have created a category, be able to specify that all images in that directory should belong to the category just created.

It seems that phoca gallery need specific folder inside its own directory.

Yes, of course, provided that this folder is located within /images/phocagallery/
on your server. If so, simply create a category in Phoca Gallery and assign your images from the folder to this category using 'Multiple Add'. The required thumbnails will then be created.

ok thanks, the folder is under "images", so I have to move it inside "phocagallery" and then follow you procedure, right?

I was wondering if I can avoid moving the folder.
