Image hit counter in Shadowbox

First of all this is a fantastic gallery and just about all I am looking for! I found one little problem though: when using the "Shadow Box " or "Highslide" option to display images the image hit counter in statistics pane stops working. Only if users will click the "Download button" it will count that as another hit, thus not giving me a realistic view of things! Is there any workaround for this?

Hi, using shadowbox, modal box (image only), highslide (image only) the link is direct to image, so there is no possibility to store statistics data.
