using Slideshow plugin with Shadowbox

First of all, congratulations for this work... Really impressive. But here is my problem :
I'm trying to display a slideshow inside an article and it works.

But it is not "nice". I'd like it to be in a shadowbox and I can't find a way to do it. Having searched in the forum and on the web... found nothing.

In fact my real question is : can i use the component without the thumbnails ? Directly from the category, without showing the thumbnails page. It seems that it isn't possible. Am I right ?
