Safe to reset dir's to 755?

I was wondering if it's recommended to set the phoca images folders back to 755 when Phoca has created the thumbs folder and thumbs. I would see no reason to let the directory on 777.

Is this true or should I leave the dir's to 777?

Yes, set them to 755 if you get no problems ... users have problems with writting files and creating folders when they have set the folders on 755, so there is 777
