captcha ???

how do i install the captcha script , the Guestbook doesnt work without it

i have php5.2.5 with gd library active

You right, Guestbook doesn't work without CAPTCHA. There is no separate installation of CAPTCHA script. Do your GD library run correctly? It is very simple CAPTCHA class where you need only GD library not TTF support. Do you get some error message?

ok , my captcha works for now , but second problem , when I sign the guestbook there is no message on the screen after i submit my form , just a new form to sign the guestbook ! My new made form is gone . not in items.

Maybe there is problem with database... ??? Is the phoca_guestbook table in your database ... ???
