Problem with Gallery plugin and SEF

Hi

I've have a problem with the gallery plugin with SEF and in that it will only work with it turned off in Joomla. I'm using 1.5 and have downloaded and installed the latest Gallery component and plugins. 2.5.7

The problem is that when you click on the first image to start the slide show it generate a 404 error but it only does this on one of my articles

The only difference I can see is that the image in the second link are stored in a sub folder and the first article images aren't.

If I change the menu type to use it as Phoca gallery it works fine. I also confirmed this was same issues with another article with a sub folder

If I switch off SEF they both work fine, but I'd like to have it on if possible.

I can move the images up if thats the only soultion.

Anyone else seen this.

Yes they are both published. I've checked the phoca catergory the images and the articles and they all are.

I'm still having problems with SEF. I've also read up up on SEF setting within Joomla on the Global configuration. I've tried on my hosting provider and also on my own server. Both running Apache. Is it possible something has got screwed up in the database. Can anyone suggest what I need to check.

try to check your .htaccess, try to disable htaccess in global configuration

If I disable .htaccess it works but I get url's with /index.php/<page>

I have one article that works with no issues even with .htaccess enabled. But if I add another article I get the 404 error when I click on a image to start the slideshow. I checked to see if there are any difference and each caterogry is configured the same. I'm beginning to think there is something wrong with my installation. I'm going to try a fresh install of joomla on a local server and see if I get the same issue.

Maybe you need to cange the htaccess

I am having a similar problem with the content plugin (v2.58 and 2.57beta). I have a fresh install of Joomla 1.5.14 with SEF active in a test environment. If I create gallery menu link I have no issues seeing the thumbnails and opening a modal to see the large image and start the slideshow. If I use the plugin I can see gallery of thumbnails but if I attempt open the modal I receive a 404 error with Joomla! set to use SEF. If I turn off SEF it works fine. I have removed the .htaccess with SEF active and it still does not work. However, I need the SEF turned on for the rest of the site.

What is strange is that if I click on the first image of a seven image gallery it will correctly open the modal and find all pictures in a slide slow. If I click on image 2 through 7 I receive the 404 error.

Update: If I change the detail option to equal 6 or 7 (not an option in your documentation) with J! SEF active it opens up the JAX window with NO 404 error either individually or running the slideshow on starting off on any of the 7 images.
