errors when trying to add an image

when I am in the item detail page (lite version), and click on the image icon to add an image (next to the Image ID box), I get these errors.....what do I need to do to fix this?

Hi, if you are using 1.1.x version, check if you have latest Phoca Gallery version.

I don't have phoca gallery -- I assumed I could use the regular image locator built into joomla to find and add the images.

what do I need to download in order for this to work -- I see many options in the gallery download page.

But it only works with Phoca Gallery.
If you want to use it with some other system, then this needs to be customized
