Ive downloaded this plugin thinking I can use it to create a downloadable PDF form which can be separate to the article content - I don't want to publish the form within an article - just provide a download. Will this component work in this way?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Have I got this wrong?
Hi Jan
I realise you're busy and have limited time to post responses but is there any chance of a reply to this post? I just want to find a solution to the following:
I want to provide users (registered and non) a PDF form which they can download, save and print. The form will be different to that of the article content although it is related to it - ie. a booking form (PDF) relating to an event (article). Admin and Managers need to be able to easily create and add PDF forms in future.
So Im wondering, do I need a different component - Phoca Download?
Can you help?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Have I got this wrong?
Hi, in fact I don't have any idea. Phoca PDF includes content plugin, so this means, the content will be as PDF created (but no with plugins), so this is the only one function of Phoca PDF - creating PDF from content. I didn't try to create forms, but I think, there is no such option ready

Re: Have I got this wrong?
I wonder if you can shed any light on a something Im experiencing. I installed the PDF component and plugin and since then I seem to have lost some article editing functions, e.g. image, link, table insert. I haven't experienced this before and I can't see what might have caused it. So Im going through everything that changed just before this issue arose. Im not saying that the component is responsible but it's the only thing that was installed just before this occurred. I have uninstalled the component and plugin however the problem persists. Im concerned that Im going to have to do a complete re-install. I wonder if you have knowledge of this issue or if anyone else has reported having experienced this? Im running Joomla 1.5.11 stable.
Your help is much appreciated.
Polly
p.s. Also, I forgot to mention that I can longer view article content when clicking on the pdf icon in preview either.

Re: Have I got this wrong?
Hi, Phoca PDF plugin only looks for the pdf link and change it to Phoca PDF link, but it doesn't change it in the database,so if you will disable the Phoca PDF plugin, nothing will be changed.
It works this way, there is a link to pdf
link&format=pdf
and this is changed online to:
link@format=phocapdf (only in case the plugin is enabled, so if you disable the plugin nothing will be changed)
This is all what the plugin can change. It write any changes into the database and nor into the article.
So you can recognize if the changes (hiding print link, etc.) were caused by this plugin in way, that you just disable this plugin in Plugin Manager.
