Hello Jan,

could you please be more specific? I've been trying every setting I found. The description and other details show up in the category file listing, but not in files displayed with the plugin: {phocadownload view=file|id=1}

Also the contents of the layout does not seem to have any effect. How are those activated/choosen?

(J!2.5.9, Phoca Download 2.1.8 )

Hi, yes this can be done only in component, in plugin there is no such options as mostly plugin is used in e.g. article which itself does include some content (instead of the description)

Hi Jan,
thanks for the reply. It would be nice if it at least displayed file type and size. Maybe I can add that myself? I'm sure this is a popular need, because this is the standard way to present downloads (as far as I'm aware).
What I absolutely need within an article, though, is to present a *direct* download, not just a link to another page where the download happens. Is that possible with Phoca Download?

Hi, in case the File View is disabled in Options, the file linked from plugin will be directly downloaded.
