Module slideshow instead of plugin

Is there a possibility to have the slideshow as a module instead of a plugin? The plugin is quite limiting since it can mainly be used inside of an article. I am sure a lot of folks will like to have a slidehow on their homepage in a module position just like the random image slideshow, which would have been an ideal solution if it had a slideshow functionality to it...any roadmap for this?

I hate to have to use another Joomla image slideshow extension to pull the images from phoca if phoca as powerful as it is cannot do this.

Hi, such module is planned, for now you can use some extensions which convert the plugin to module.

Thanks...any idea or suggestion of an extension that does this? I don't believe I have come across such in the JED. iknow there are extensions that convert components into modules but not plugins into modules

Jan, can you tell us what module you're using to wrap the plugin?

i've tried the "Plugin in Module" (http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions ... clude/6713) and not satisfied with it. It leaves a trailing {pgslideshow} in my template.

Is there another one? Thanks.
