Using Overlays

I've just discovered Phoca Maps and I love it but I have one question.

I need to use Overlays in my map. Is that possible with Phoca Maps?

Hi, only overlay which is supported is marker for now. I am planning to add some overlay features but with changing the code to google maps version 3. But for now the google maps version 3 is still in Google labs

Phoca Maps uses Google Maps API v2. It will be overwritten to Google Maps API v3 (but in v3 some features are missed - continuous zooming, overlay maps, etc.), so I need to wait until it will be ready.

For now I don't know which features about overlays supports version 2. If it supports overlays then there is no problem to customize the code so overlays will be displayed. As I didn't do such modifications, I cannot give any advice in this area
