blank gallery screen after everything was working fine

So we don't know which error you get... do you have some error.log file on your webserver... if not, we are lost...

I have an error.php and an upload.error.php but I don't know how to open either of them - plus I'm scared to!!

we need to have a log file with error message or you should ask your operator if he enable the error reporting on for you...

I seem to have a similar problem. When I installed Phoca gallery all was working fine. However, when I tried to add multiple files (quite a lot at the same time) it showed it was creating thumbnails and then shouwed a blank page in the admin screens. I am using joomla 1.5.2 en your latest version of Phoca gallery.

Since then I could not get it to work anymore. So , I decided to uninstall the gallery component and installed it again. However I now get a blank screen when I install the module. I see it in the list of installed components. I can go in there but I am not able now to create a new category. I get an error notification.

You can have a look at my site. I will send you the login info by mail.
It seems the unsintall created an additional problem on top of the blank screen one.

I hope you have a clue what is wrong.

Some things, I see on your site, which can cause the problem:

- old php version 4.3.9
- old mysql version
- no phoca gallery tables were created (vm), so I installed new version of Phoca Gallery (there was the problem with blank page - installation process is created by Joomla! framework, so I think, the PHP version can be the problem or the old mysql - because no new tables were created) - I added them manually in PHPMyAdmin ... Now it works ... I added one image as an example which works...

Resume: Automatic installation of Phoca Gallery tables was not correctly on your server (maybe because an old version of PHP or MySQL). Now it works.

Hi, I am getting the same blank page error in the admin but I don't quite understand the process mentioned to fix it. I am running php 5.2 and the error only started occurring after I deleted some duplicate entries.

Do you get some error message? Do you have enabled error_reporting on?
