Hi,
I have installed the latest Phoca Gallery with the button plugin and it works in backend mode, there I am able to use it to add the gallery code in both JCE and TinyMCE
But it doesn't appear in frontend mode neither in JCE nor in TinyMCE. Thankful for any help.

Hi, this is only backend plugin, the frontend feature is planned.

OK! Thanks for the information.
I think it would be great if it was possible to add gallery views to separate articles via the frontend. It's too difficult for users to remember the syntax code for different gallery views.

Can this be a sponsored project? Or is time more the issue?

Under 'Restrictions' in the 'Components' list, select 'All Components' only.

Re: Button plugin doesn't appear in frontend editor
This may not work for everyone's situation, but through the Joomla Administration we changed the Global Configuration "Path to Image Folder" from "images/stories" to "images". Everything else on the site still appears to work fine, and the frontend editors can now utilize the existing frontend photo plugin to insert Phoca Gallery pictures into articles.
Jan - thank you for such great Joomla Extensions!

Re: Button plugin doesn't appear in frontend editor
Hi psmccord,
this sounds promising, but I hope you can describe more in detail how it's done.
I changed the path to images instead of images/stories and I have the plg_editors-xtd_phocagallery_v2.6.0 installed. I use TinyMCE.
But I don't see button in the frontend, only in the backend.
Do I need to do anything more?

Re: Button plugin doesn't appear in frontend editor
Hi Arvendal -
Sorry for not providing a full explanation... Changing the photo directory path does not make the Phoca photo button appear in the front end, but it does allow you to now access your Phoca folders with the Joomla system photo plugin (editor-xtd photo).

OK, thanks for the information, psmccord.
It doesn't solve my problem, though, a button for the frontend is the only way.
Hopefully this will come true in the near future
