date in weekly menu pro= concept not clear for me

hello Jan

I use your nice Phoca Menu Pro and I see a little annoying thing... Generally a restaurant propose weekly menu from monday to friday (but not always because some restaurant make also for saturday and sunday...ok). So is possible to set inside Parameters the date for when menu will be available..that mean for example from Monday 15 march 2010 to Friday 19 march 2010...well..

Now when we create "Days", the date for each day is also displayed without possibility to hide this date except if I choose HIDE in option "Display Day Title" of weekly menu item in Main Menu...but the problem is not only the date is hided but also the name of day...

I would like ask you if you plan in near future to add an option for hide or delete this date and keep the name of days...Why I ask you that ? In fact in practice a chief make his weekly menu from weeks to weeks and don't plan menu many weeks before...So I think is more logic to have always in frontend only name of Days displayed without date ( that mean Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and so on..) but why not keep the date displayed in backend. Like that if chief decide to create many Day before (with unpublished status) he can find his Menu days without problem...The main reason I ask you that is because if the days date is always displayed is required to change all days date one by one and this each weeks..This is very annoying because it add an additional step for nothing when chief need to update his menu...

Users will always see in the header the current date for when weekly menu is available (like from Monday 15 march 2010 to Friday 19 march 2010 ) so is not necessary to add again each day date (like Monday 15 march 2010, Tuesday 16 march 2010, and so on..)..A simple Monday, Tuesday is quite enough and the only thing to change will be the date from/to inside Parameters..

Hope you see what I mean...sorry for my bad english...not easy to explain..

Hi, added into feature request list.

- displaying not date

Regarding the automatically displaying of menu. For now it is working with days only. It means, you can make some menus of some days and if you set it in parameters component, in frontend only the current date will be displayed.

Last thing: I would like display weekly menu to be centered in the page instead to be aligned to left. Any suggestions ??

Typically menu are often placed in center mode unlike food proposed in "Bill of Fare" where the food is write to left side and price to right side...This depend probably too much of each restaurant propose his food but often menu consist on different food proposition (like for example Appetizer, Main Course and Dessert) proposed for a global price displayed on bottom...

That mean I plan to make menu for each day of the week without fill the field "price" for each food...and add the global price on bottom Message field...For a style question align to center will be better..

Last last thing: I just discover when setting "Display Header Date" on my menu item (in Main Menu) to hide, the date From/To continue to be displayed... Is a small glitch ??? If not I don't see how to do for hide this data...

Hi, you can set the alignement in CSS (there are css classes for different items)

I will take a look at the date, which exactly menu type is this? daily menu or weekly menu?

It is on weekly menu... If am not wrong daily menu don't have this option to hide header date...

About CSS please can you confirm me the file I must modify is "phocamenu.css" located inside /front/assets/ ??
