. . . and, I hope, a simple answer. I can't for the life of me find a way to have one of my particular images appear as the album image for each specific album. See this site page at the bottom:
http://animalfriendswestmoreland.org/in ... &Itemid=97 . As you can see, each individual category shows a generic folder as the front picture. i would like to customize each album cover to its contents. I've been the webmaster for this site for several years but only recently was handed the Phoca product because our pictures were loading too slowly. I've searched the user's manual but can't find instructions ~ probably because I'm using the wrong terminology. Any guidance is greatly appreciated. Thanks and enjoy your day!
simple question . . .

Hi, in Phoca Gallery there is no such option, you can display:
- no image
- folder icon
- avatar
- image from the category
- image from the category or subcategories if there is no image in the category - here you can use ordering to e.g. display still the same image (e.g. ordering by ID ASC will display still the first image from the category)

Re: simple question . . .
Yes, you can select a photo to be your album cover ~ despite what I was told in the above posts. I hacked around and finally figured out how to make it happen. The steps are (if you are working within the Joomla platform): Components; Phoca Gallery; Images . . . then look at the upper right of the taskbar at the top of the page. Next to the icon for help is one for parameters. Click on this and another box will open in the center of your screen. The left hand column is labeled "global configuration" and then there are several subsections. You want to look under the first one which is "category view settings (thumbnails)". The 19th item down allows you to select that an image will display rather than the folder icon. The way that I designated which photo in each folder was to be the album cover was to assign my chosen cover picture the order number of zero. That makes it the first to display and pulls it in as the album cover. I'm not sure why I was previously told that it couldn't be done. If you want to see what mine look like, go to [link not working] then select "about us" and then "shelter photos" (shelter details) and scroll to the bottom of the page to see what I've done so far. Good luck! Let me know how it works for you.
