Hi,
Why is it not possible to just upload pics with a simpel upload form instead of first need to upload them via FTP/mediamanager? It seems a littlebit of a workaround. Maybe someone can tell me what file I need to alter, then I can put it in myself?
Thanks!
Corinne

Hi, I do
Hi,
I don't see any reason why do a third upload possibility, if Joomla has two...
First - uploading images via Media Manager....
Second - uploading images via FTP (it is very powerful...you create a folder structure on your disc, upload via FTP and with only one click you get all images with categories and subcategories which will be automatically created from folders (subfolders)....

It would make things
It would make things quicker to have an upload ability from within the Component. For example, I go into "Gallery - Multiple Add" and then I discover that the pictures have not been uploaded yet.
How about a link from within the component to the media manager or a link that allows me to bring up the media manager with the default to the Phocca directory for quick uploads.
Right now, we have to exit the component to the Media Manager and then do the upload.
Just might make things a little quicker.
Otherwise, excellent job with the software.

Hi, I think, it is n
Hi, I think, it is nonsense to build a half of year something like media manager only for Phoca Gallery... Mostly you have an upload for galleries but you must still click on some link to go to this upload and then go back, so you can click on media manager and then go back
Yes, I can add link to the Phoca Gallery which will go to Media Manager... but where?
Maybe I will add a popup link to media manager into the top right menu of Phoca Gallery

I agree that buildin
I agree that building an external upload feature that is already in Joomla is a waste of time.
For those of us with eXplorer (Joomla FTP), it would be nice to have the option to choose our preferred upload method (media manager v. eXplorer v. ?)
My suggestion is put the link with the main selections:
Example:
Gallery | Categories | Themes | File Upload | Info
and also put it on the top right icon menu on the Add and Multiple Add selections. Make it a pop-up or open to a new browser window.

You can use the eXpl
You can use the eXplorer too, no restriction there...

I have testet it, but e.g. if media manager will be open in popup, then there is a problem with redirect and with uploading images into the right directory... so maybe I will do my ownl solution (if I find time (a lot of time) and motivation)
