Implement Phoca Wallpapers

Post by smartino »

To the group,

I REALLY love the Phoca Wallpapers layout, but this seams to be a Joomla Template??? I already have my preferred Joomla template installed and was wondering if I could emulate the layout of Wallpapers for just my Phoca Gallery Categories and pictures?

Any help is much appreciated.

thanks

Hi, Phoca Wallpapers site is made by these three parts:

Phoca Gallery component and modules
Phoca Gallery Theme - Wallpapers Theme (at the bottom)
and
Phoca template - Phoca Wallpapers Template (at the bottom) a Joomla! template

Thank you for your response.

Two Questions:

1st question: Can I just apply the Wallpapers theme only without the Joomla Template?

2nd question is on licensing. I am using your software to design a website for a friend of mine to display his rare Tropical Fish that he stocks for his store. You can see the site at: http://031363d.netsolhost.com/AquaLifeCentral/

Can you tell me what the licensing requirements for using your software are for this type of site, so that I can advise him?

thanks

Hi, depends on you if you will install only Theme or you will install both theme or template.

The sofware is under GPLv2.0

Again, thanks for your help and I am just getting back to this again...What steps are necessary to make a page look like this link?

https://www.phoca.cz/wallpapers/gallery

I want the menu and categories on the side, but most importantly the way the center page is organized with boxes around the categories, and the name of the category inside the box outline, etc...

thanks

Thanks. I just do not understand where I set the ability to have the category surrounded by the box with the Category name in between the box lines? Can you direct me to the area or documentation that explains this?

thanks

Hi, I don't understand this:
ability to have the category surrounded by the box with the Category name in between the box lines?
If you mean the design of Categories View, you can set it in parameters, see:
https://www.phoca.cz/documents/2-phoca-g ... -menu-item

Display Categories Style

Thanks, I am getting closer. The one remaining thing is changing the font size of the Category Description that is located inline with the box drawn around the image? I changed what i thought it should be but it still is very large. Can you point me to the correct parameter? I have cleared cache many times, but it just does not change.

Hi, font size is not set in Phoca Gallery, you need to set it in CSS.
