Access problem after update to 1.8 alpha

Hy

got the same problem after updating to 1.8
what can I do?

I guess, you'll have a general problem with the rights. I changed the permission from the categories to "registered user" and "admin" got no access to the pictures?!? (may the same problem)

The right access is still in development (1.8.0 - Alpha phase) so user can test it and send feedback to me ... the access rights solution is very complicated (I self cannot test all possible cases), so there is an alpha version to solve it...

I have fixed it, so now it should work. please download the version 1.8.0 and test it. (don't forget to save all categories - there were some changes, so new values must be saved in database)

I installed the Version 1.8.0alpha.... you won't update your software to 1.8.1alpha?

is there ever a stable release planned? you published only alpha and beta versions

I fixed the alpha and was waiting if it will work for other users too. Now I will update it to beta...

If I do some changes in the code, I want to wait until it works for other users correctly... If there are no problems it can be released as stable ... but mostly the new version is released, so the old beta doesn't catch to be stable

so thank you for the feedback, no the 1.8.0 can be beta

I've get the same problem as it is stated here. I want that only registered users have rights to see gallery. Category access have registered access level but even Super Administrator cant see gallery. I get no access message with link for logout.
I've installed newest version 1.8.1 beta. I thought that access rights have been solved in 1.8.0. alpha?

I think I've figure it out. I have only set access level to registered, but didnt set Access User rights to All registered users.
I think that solves everything about access rights.
