Ordering of Category Images

I am displaying a category within an article using the syntax

{phocagallery view=category|categoryid=3}

The images display just as I wanted them to, but they are displayed in a random order. I downloaded the gallery plugin as a way to separate categories from one another. I created an Article for each category, allowing me to write up a story about what each gallery contains. This part has all worked out just fine, but these galleries are chronologic in nature, so the sequence they are displayed matters. I see in the documentation for displaying images rather than categories a imageordering parameter, but don't know how to apply it to the category side.

Anyone have any suggestions?
