Hey all,
I would like to insert a slideshow into a custom HTML module, but I only see the code like {pgslideshow id=2|widt...}. The slideshow works perfectly when entered into an article. I also tried the module "Article As Module" to insert the slideshow into an article and then into a module, but I only see the code.
Is there a way to get a slideshow into a custom HTML module?

Re: Slideshow in custom HTML module
exactly the same problem.
Code works in an article BUT exactly the same code doesn't work in a module which is custom as HTML.
There must be a bug !!
IS THERE ANY OTHER WAY TO HAVE A SLIDESHOW IN A MODULE In the same way it works perfectly in an article ?

Re: Slideshow in custom HTML module
I have found the solution for the problem, at least for me. I did some more research on extensions.joomla.org and I found a module which makes it possible to execute a plugin in a module. Just hit search on the website and search for the module "Plugin in Module"

Re: Slideshow in custom HTML module
yes !! Great !! Thanks. I downloaded the 'Plugin in a Module' and I solved the problem with the phoca gallery slideshow plugin by setting the following Module Parameters :
TYPE OF PLUGIN = plugin CODE
PLUGIN TO EXECUTE = pgslideshow
COMMAND TO INSERT= id=1|width=150|height=100|delay=3000|image=M|pgslink=2
By the way : the parameter pgslink=2 (which means 'link to all categories', it doesn't work !! Slideshow always shows images from a specific category, not to all categories , no matter if you set the parameter pgslink=2 or =1. Any idea about that ??
Another problem I have with the 'Plugin in a Module', when I copy the embedded code of a youtube video and paste it to the 'Command to Insert' field in Modules Parameters section it shows the video box ok but I can't get rid of the bracket before and after the video box on the module section. Any idea ? how I get rid of the two brackets.??
UNFORTUNATELY , the trouble is that WE NEED TOO MANY MODULES AND TOO MANY PLUGINS TO DO SIMPLE THINGS and the problem is that you get rid of one problem with one module and you get another problem which is solved by another module or plugin !!
THANKS A LOT FOR THE HELP !! If you have any answers from your experience on the above two points please let me know !!

Re: Slideshow in custom HTML module
We talked about other modules giving the answer but the original problem hasn't been solved.
To remind you : the original problem was the slideshow code within a module which is of CUSTOM HTML mode, doesn't work.
This is either a problem of Joomla's CUSTOM HTML MODULE or PHOCA SLIDESHOW GALLERY PLUGIN's problem.

Hi, Phoca Gallery Slideshow plugin is a content plugin, it means, it only can be displayed in articles.
