Facebook-Comments?

Post by jjlm24 »

This might be a noob question, but when someone comments with this what happens? I am wondering, does this post something on there wall and if so is it a URL to the relevant page or is there something I need to do to make that happen? To explain further, say if I was using another comment solution and every time I publish an article the user or reader has the option to comment and the comment will display for that article is there a way to set this facebook comment module like this? Please help thank you!

Hi,

comment made by user is displayed on the site where you set it (e.g. below the article - see example:
https://www.phoca.cz/joomlademo/phoca-facebook-comments

User can decide,if his/her comment will be displayed on his/her wall in the facebook, see:

Comments are assigned to site. So every site has different id.

Let me better describe what I am saying. I use a system where I can assign the same module to many articles. I was wondering if I set the same module to display in all these articles will it display comment for that article or display all the comments to my site. I have not been able to test for myself because this is not working properly (at least I just found out today that is not working) I will post another topic about this but if your reading, when I try to sign in with facebook to post a comment it does not work nor does it detect that I am logged in to my account either? This did work when I first installed and set this up. I have played with it somewhat but just does not work please help!

Hmmm, really no idea, in fact then it is problem somewhere between your browser and facebook page. The comments are in iframe, means, in your Joomla! site is displayed a facebook comment site and everything what you do in iframe is in fact you are doing it on facebook page.

Can I see the site where this occurs?
