weird module behaviour..

hello jan,

the site im building for a friend has created a link in the menu to the gallery.
that link is set to registered only.
the random picture module is activated as well.
and that shows an image....even when the component is set to members only...
thats fine..
but when you click the image you expect the image popup with larger images,but that doesnt show the image but the front side where you have to login...
thats to be expected but cant it be changed somehow that it does show the image?

another question...
upgrading is uninstall first etc...but that doesnt delete the tables right?

You must not uninstall before upgrading... upgrading doesn't delete the tables nor the images (but if you use SEF there are some actions to do after upgrading). see:

if you will use module and component in the same version:
e.g. 1.8.x and you set the rights for categories, you shouldn't get images from not inaccessible category...

The login in detail window gets only user, if he will try to add the URL manually (some attempt at attack on your site)
