Using Documentation Section List layout with Phoca Downloads

Post by Brancin »

Hi,

is there a way to us Documentation Section List layout with Phoca Downloads? I like the layout of Documentation's Section list, but I need to use it not the way it was intended, but to show download items.

Specifically - we have squares in layout and each square contains section name as a title, and below it there's a list of categories in that section. What I need is for each square to show the Phoca Download Category name as a title, and below it links to the downloadable files. Any way to achieve that? Or to have that layout but with something other than documentation?

Hi, sorry I don't understand, in fact Phoca Download and Documentation have the same layout

https://www.phoca.cz/documentation == https://www.phoca.cz/download

Heh, i wasn't clear enough - I'm talking about the look of the documentation module. Squares with content look really nice, and could be used for other purposes, if there was a way to use them differently.

For instance, instead of showing sections with categories, is there a way for them to show categories with articles? Or download categories with download items?

Take a look at this:

http://www.joomlamusicsolutions.com/

I've been looking for something like this for ages, and Documentation seems like it could do the job, with a little rework.

Basically, a list of artices neatly organized in little squares.

Hi, for the next version of Phoca Documentation, I plan to set new parameter (display description in categories view), something like here (in Phoca Download):

Hi,

I'm using Phoca Documentation 2.0.0_rc and I cannot configure the component for displaying the description like in the demo
https://www.phoca.cz/joomlademo/phoca-documentation
Which parameter should I configure for displaying the description?

Thanks.

Hi,

Display Main Category Description parameter - Set if category description should be displayed in Categories View - Description will be displayed instead of subcategories
