Hi everyone,

Hi everyone,

i have a question: i configured https for my apache server and wanted to use the feature of mod_login to send the login data encrypted. When i configure my own login form using the mod_login module its feature to encrypt the login data works. But for the build in usage of th login form used by phoca gallery i see that no encryption is used for the posted login data. Am i doing something wrong or is it somehow configurable? So far as a work around i now in general allow only https connection to my joomla pages, but i think this is a little bit overhead

Thanks for any answers, peterv

Hi, Phoca Gallery doesn't have own login form, the Joomla! framework login is used (mod_login, com_user)...

Hello Jan,

thanks for the answer. And yes, i guessed that phoca gallery uses the framework login of joomla. This means then, that phoca gallery can't be configured to send the login data encrypted?
When in general i add a login module to the web page, i can configure the login module to send the login data encrypted (if ssl is enabled). The standard setting is to send the login data not encrypted. So i think phoca gallery uses the login module with its standard settings?

By the way, don't get me wrong, i like phoca gallery very mauch and will use it.
Cheers peterv
