Display n most recent images?

I should detail a bit my case for a better understanding:
We have many picture galleries, each week new images are uploaded and / or new sub-categories are created
Main Gallery Topic A
-> Sub Categories 1
-> Sub-sub categories 1
-> Sub-sub categories 2
- > Sub Categories 2
-> Sub-sub categories 1
-> Sub-sub categories 2
Main Gallery Topic B
-> Sub Categories 1
-> Sub-sub categories 1
-> Sub-sub categories 2
- > Sub Categories 2
-> Sub-sub categories 1
-> Sub-sub categories 2

How can we show most recent pictures from Main Gallery Topic B? The only way I have found was to manualy select the new Sub-sub categories each time a new one is created or new pics are uploaded.

The abilities to have an automated way to show recent pics from all galleries must be available since its one of the fundamental option for such a component.

Can we display picture size in pixels beside description?

2) must be customized in the code

1) Depends on where you want to display it. E.g. in module, etc. In module you can select the categories but if there is some category selected and added some new, then this needs to be newly selected

Hi Jan and thanks for your reply,

Topic 2 is not such a big issue, I can live without that but I need to find a more suitable way to display X most recent pics added in Main Category without having to select that each time a new sub-category is made. And yes, it should be displayed as / in Module position.
I wonder if you could use image ID's since those are generated as +1 increments and we do have as per category option to sort by ID, can it be used somehow that the plugin to use raw image ID's?

Those IDs can your plugin or a future version use them in order to display latest images?

Hi, there is a date value, so latest is used by date not by ID.

Then is should be easier (for you) to enhance this plugin so it can display latest n pics alson from Main gallery not just from selected one
