Hi,
I'm trying to install Phoca Maps com and I get the following error.
Error building Admin Menus
JFolder:delete: Could not delete folder. Path: .\tmp\install_...\language
It shows the install successful, but I have no menus in the backend under Components.
Any thoughts?
Joomla version 1.6.3
Phoca Maps version 2.0.0RC
Thanking you in advance.

Re: Error installing Phoca Maps
I am using the 2.0.0 release and am also having this problem. I can still get to the component, but I have to manually type in the url. When I install it it shows:
Error building Admin Menus
Installing component was successful.
And then asks me if it is an upgrade or an install. I have tried installing it several times. I don't remember it saying there was an error the first time I installed it. I am running Joomla 1.6.3 on a localhost server with Apache. I am also on a 64-bit computer which I know is not exactly compatible with Apache(or any equivalent either). If problem will be resolved just by switching to the web server on a 32-bit host that will be fine. But it will be a pain as I am just in development and not ready to go live yet.
Is there a way to manually edit the admin menus?

Re: Error installing Phoca Maps
Hi,
I read in the Joomla 1.6.3 release notes, or somewhere in Joomla, maybe on the forum, that extensions using some type of addressing script or system (don't quite understand all that stuff) might experience a glitch and the writers of the extensions will have to go in and change how they access/address files or a certain file if that makes sense. Phoca maps was running great for me on 1.6.1. For reasons unrelated to Phoca maps, I had to uninstall it. Then I did a full install of Joomla 1.6.3
When I changed to 1.6.3, Phoca maps would not show up in the backend components list. But I know it loaded because I saw the backend menu flash briefly accross the screen.
Same thing happened to me when I re-installed the extension arttimeline. Worked great under 1.6.1 & 1.6.2, but reinstalled inder 1.6.3, it won't show in the components.
Please let me know if this is helpful, or if I'm wrong, and if anyone has a solution or how long it might be before there is one.
I'd really like to get the map up and running again....Thanks
