Re: Marker is totaly disformed
Yep ... seeing the same thing with phoca1.1.0 and 1.1.1 using IE7 and IE8 while running Joomla 1.5.9. The markers are displayed properly in other browsers such as FireFox v3.x, Google Chrome, and Safari in the same environment configuration noted above. No changes have been made to the joomla site itself (e.g., no changes to templates, css, etc) since this problem was first noticed several weeks ago. Will keep digging ...

Re: Marker is totaly disformed
I am having this same issue. IE7 and IE8. Is there a fix? It happens with the default marker and also the custom markers.
I could really use a fix here for my client.
Thanks,
Linda

Re: Marker is totaly disformed
My marker icons work fine in Safari and Firefox, but are deformed in IE Browser. The icons seem to be uncentered within their image holder. I am using Joomla 1.6.3 and Phocamaps 2.0.0 I would really appreciate any help with this as I have been working on it for days now.

Re: Marker is totaly disformed
I am having the same issue with IE browsers. The icons, custom or otherwise are being cut, irrespective of the pixel size. It unfortunately makes phoca maps unusable as too many people use IE (sadly). I am not a coder, but have been told that Microsoft implement custom Java in their browsers... does this mean that the phoca component has to adjust its application code somewhere?
Please help as this is one of the most effective apps out there!
Thanks... anyone

Re: Marker is totaly disformed
Workaround for markers not showing properly.
Create your own .png image. Make sure it has a transparent background. Then increase the canvas size so that the image only occupies the top left quarter of the image box... not an answer, but it is a solution!

Re: Marker is totaly disformed
Hi, I see no problem there:
https://www.phoca.cz/demo/phoca-maps-demo-component with IE.
Testing apostrophe (possible problem for javascript) in the marker description, see no problem in IE:
For possible problem of html of description, test your editor's html output.
Please, follow the forum rules and let me know the site where this happens or the screenshots. Did you test it with standard template? Which version of IE you are using? If you found a bug, can you describe it?
Did you set the right parameters for displaying the marker?
See:
On this site: kaufmann.de I see ne Landkarte
BTW: Some of extensions used in Joomla! (system plugins) are changing the width and height parameters of outputed html, it is common issue e.g. that such extensions will deform Phoca Gallery images, so try to check if that can be not the same issue. But for solving this issue it will be great you can report the site where this occurs with enabled standard Joomla! template.

Re: Marker is totaly disformed
Hi Jan,
the problem happens only if you use the plugin!
I use the same map in two different ways:
first: create a new menue entry based on the phoca maps component. -> everything fine
second: create a new article and embed the same map from above using the plugin -> marker icons are disoriented using IE8 (in Firefox everything is fine)
So something happens if the phoca maps plugin is used.
I hope this will bring you one step further to solve the issue.
Joomla 1.5
phoca maps component v1.1.1
phoca maps plugin v1.1.0
Thanks
Stefan
