I am sorry, but I'm having the same problem... and max06 didn't come to tell if it worked or not.
In fact I am not good in making plugins working >_<

I have the last version of phocagalery installed.
Joomla is 1.5.3
The plugin IS installed and ENABLED.
I tried it with tinymice editor and without it. I added the code in HTML and in the editor body.

I also used the "{ }"

I tried the simplest one: {phocagallery view=categories}
And it didn't show anything but the code.
I am in blank. The gallery works fine, the photos uploaded and everything is fine, just the pluging doesn't work for me. What can it be?
