Italian trans apparently not working

Hi, I uploaded the two files of the italian translation of phoca, but apparently, nothing changed. All components are still in english.
Checking very fast I can't found something wrong.
Can someone please suggest me some check to do to understand what's wrong?
(Joomla 1.6.5, phoca last release)

Hi,
this translation contains no XML setup file.
So you have to install it manually.
Unzip http://joomlacode.org/gf/download/frsre ... ry-j16.zip local on your pc.
Load up the two contained files with help of a FTP-Client like FileZilla to:
/language/it-IT/
and
/administrator/language/it-IT/
