Hello,
I try to have the gallery secured (only registred users can access). this is no problem, because it can be controlled by Joomla!. then I want to have images from the gallery presented in the stories. also no problem, because of the plugin code in the text. But.... Now I want to have the thumbs only clickable (so when you click you see the detailed picture), when people are logged-in. Currently when people click on the thumb, a pop-up appears with the homepage in it (with a text explaining them to login). This is not a very nice solution. Is there (or could you) an option in the plugin code, where people only can click on the thumb when they are logged in?
Thanks for your reply.
Kind regards,
K.

Hi, if you get this
Hi, if you get this message, it means that the whole category is not accessable ... it works in gallery that if the category is not accessable, no images will be shown, if you will use the plugin, there is no such a behaviour as in component, you must only add the images which are accessable because plugin doesn't work with user rights yet...

Re: Pop-up / Registred only!
Gosh, I swear I have the plugin setup to public access with modal popup and yesterday (and the day before) it was working like a charm for non-logged-in users! Now, I am getting the front page in the modal popup with the "login required" message - I have users complaining because it was working before for public access, so how come it now requires login?
The website is at http://www.buttecountykennelclub.org ...
So, is there a way to allow public access to photos via the plugin? If not, is there a plan to allow this?

Hi, no way (from side of Phoca Gallery), no plans, because Plugin is a part of an article, so all rights must be do in article

Re: Pop-up / Registred only!
Just to clarify ... I have a PUBLIC access article with some Phoca Gallery plugin code to allow public, non-registered users to view a slideshow. The website is at
http://www.buttecountykennelclub.org ... Click on "Dog of the Month" at the top; images are toward bottom
The Phoca Gallery plugin demo site shows that a slideshow can be viewed without logging in - what am I doing wrong? Shouldn't I be able to allow public access to a slideshow just like the demo?
Thanks!
Ben (:

Re: Pop-up / Registred only!
It means that image you call cannot be accessed from public... The plugin displays the detail view in Component, so if you set the category to not public, the plugin cannot display it for public. You can do other public category where public users can see the image (slideshow, detail window)

Re: Pop-up / Registred only!
Thanks for responding, Jan; but, all my Phoca Gallery categories are public. As I mentioned in my original post, I got the plugin to work for a couple of days; now I have no idea why it is not working ...
Any help/information is greatly appreciated!

I've tried both v1.8.7 beta and v1.8.2, both with no success ...
