Images not showing

I installed com_phocagallery_v_2.8.0, plg_content_phocagallery_2.7.7 and plg-editors-xtd_phocagallery_v2.7.1
In Joomla I enabled all plugins. Created a categorie in Phoca control pannel. Enabled pagination thumbnail creation, Uploaded two images into the categorie (and indeed thumbnails are created).
I then created a new content page and selected an image and inserted the phocagallery code with the phoca gallery image button below the inputbox.
I have tried everything but still my page shows:

{phocagallery view=category|categoryid=1|imageid=1}

instead of the image.
Arrrggh, this is driving me nuts.
I checked Google and this seems to be an error that others have encountered but I can't seem to find the answer to this issue by following the advice that they were given.
Please help! (need to have a webshop ready in one week)
What seems to be the problem?

No! I asked because with this and may be other programs there are some problems with Phoca Plugins...(Search this forum if you like)
So if you installed and enabled the posted versions of Phoca Gallery & Plugins I have no more ideas.

Ok. I got it working after two nights of struggling. New problem though, hope anyone can help:
have a look at my site: www(dot)alidus(dot)nl/webshop
the images are for testing. Click on one of the images and the Simplecaddy code shows in the popup screen.
I want the code to show below the images in the first screen (before you click on the details icon)
It's also ok if the Simplecaddy codes show in the pop-up screen but I prefer them to show on the page itself.
Now, if you click on for instance on the image details of the apple you will see the Simplecaddy code shows
{simplecaddy code=food-1 picname=appel.jpg classsfx=-pg}
instead of the simplecaddy information.
I enabled simplecaddy but why can't I see the price and other details of Simplecaddy??

Hi, then you need to set in parameters of Phoca Gallery, that the description will be not displayed in the popup but below the thumbnails in category view.
