select map in markers does not work

Hi,

I am working with Phoca Maps 2.0.1 on Joomla 1.7 and like it a lot. After a few problems to start with, everything works now fine.
With one exception. I use a lot of markers in several different maps and the number of markers is increasing daily. Therefore, I tried to use the selecting of maps function in the marker window but this does not work. I select a certain map, but nothing happens.

I searched this forum but did not found anything about it. I also checked the Options several times and could not found anything.

Do I do something wrong?

thanks for your reply.

This is happening:
The marker winodw is open. I have at this point in time about 100 different markers, set on five different maps. I see all 100 markers in windows of 20 markers each. I see the complete list including the marker title, the map for each marker etc.

I would like to work in one single marker set in one specific map. I use the select down-drop menue and select the map. At this point I expect that only the markers are listed which are set in this specific map. But this does not happens. The complete list is still there and I have to search through all markers in order to find the correct map and than the correct marker.

If I do the same thing in Content and specify a certain category, it works fine.

What do I do wrong?

Hi, markers are assigned to one map, not a map is assigned to one marker. So if you want to edit a marker, you can select one map from all selected maps (like item from a category)

Marker can have different icon, so all icons are displayed there.

Hi Jan,

I understand. But just this selection does not work. When you select a certain map in der "marker" window, you would expect, that only markers assigned to this specific map (selected from the dropdown menu) would show up. Instead, nothing happens and all markers assigned to all maps are still there and listed.

Hi, maybe we are talking about different select boxes, can you paste here a screenshot (e.g. through imageshack) about which select box you mean?

If I select a certain map from the selection button - nothing happens. I have markers assigned to five maps and expected after selecting one specific map only the list of markers assigned to this map will show up. But nothing happens and the list contains still all maps and all markers.

What do I do wrong?
