Hi!
I already have serached this forum and some other places and did not find answers to this problem. But I have found many people, who also wish to adjust the font size in the resulting PDF document, when using Phoca-PDF. This is even more demanding, as I experienced, that there is no other comparable extension than Phoca-PDF.
I have several ideas, how to get to a solution:
1.) We could have several versions of the fonts, which come with Phoca-PDF, all with different font size definition but the same font design. So we could select that font which fits our wishes best.
I would do this job on my own, if someone would tell me, how to make the necessary changes in all these files, belonging to one font.
2.) We could enforce Phoca-PDF to use an extra print.css for definition of how to "print to PDF". This is due to the fact, that the web page will be completely fresh rendered, when clicking on the PDF-button. How can we tell Phoca-PDF to use a print.css while doing this new rendering?
3.) In the backend of Phoca-PDF we can use a scaling factor. This factor seems to have impact only concerning the spaces between the lines and not font size. So how to use a similar setting, influencing font size?
I really like Phoca-PDF, especially because of the feature, beeing able to insert header and footer lines, so that it really could deliver professional layout.... if only we could adjust font size!
I am sorry, not to being able to do programming work, to implement this font size feature in Phoca PDF due to lack of knowledge in JS and PHP or with FPDF-framework. But I could perhaps make the necessary changes in the files, when following to my proposal in 1.)
What do you think about my ideas? And could someone confirm, that my proposal 1.) will lead to the desired results? And if so, can somebody tell me, how to change the files?
Kind regards
Clemens

Re: very demanding: need for adjusting font size in PDF
Hi,
1) added into feature request list, I didn't do any such modification so cannot give advice for now and cannot say, it will work
2) PDF is not like HTML, it cannot work with external CSS
3) For now there is no such option for the pdf.
So I think, the best method can be adding a specific parameter to Phoca PDF plugin and try to set the higher font size with help of this parameter - but then it will make the changes for all the code, so e.g. specific size settings will be then ignored.
I will take a look at it for the next version, added to feature request list.
Thank you for the ideas.
