Phoca Download Plugin not working!

Hi,

I have installed Joomla 1.7 on a test system and with that I have also installed Phoca Download 2.1.0BETA and the Phoca Download Plugin. My problem is that the plugin doesn't seem to work. After I have enabled it and added the string to an article I don't get a link to the file, I only get the whole string ( {phocadownload view=file|id=1|target=s} ) displayed in the article.

Is there any steps that I have might of missed?

Hi, in such case:

- the plugin is not published
- or no installed (check if you have really installed the Phoca Download Plugin and not only e.g. Phoca Download Button Plugin)

Hi Jan,

The plugin is published / enabled and I have installed both the Phoca Download Button Plugin & Phoca Download Plugin. Any reason why it won't display? Are there any particular steps I should follow when installing the plugins?

The steps I took when I did installed this was:
1) Install Phoca Download Component,
2) Install Phoca Download Plugin,
3) Install Phoca Download Button Plugin
4) Enable both plugins

I assume by "published" you meant "Enabled" in the Plug-in Manager for the particular plug-in? If not, how should I "publish" it?

I have also tried this on a different Joomla 1.7 site and I get the same results. Just the code being displayed in the article after the both plugins have been enabled in the plug-in manager...

Since I'm building brand new site, I got exactly same trouble.

The button works well but then the code is not interpretated while rendering to the visitor.

Config :
Joomla 1.7
Phoca Download 2.10.0 béta
Phoca download plugin last published version
Phoca button plugin last published version

Maybe the phoca content plugin is not for joomla 1.7 and only for Joomla 1.5 ???

I don't know which Phoca Download Plugin you use. This one is the right for joomla v1.6/v1.7

Hi, I try to find the right place to post my question and from all the forums this seemed to be the one that could fit. I am experience this issue that is described in the forum but the difference is that I am in Joomla 3.0 using the Phoca Download Component and I can't find the Phoca Download Plug in for Joomla 3.0... I guess that my problem is the lack of that plug in.

So I can upload files and when I put the link in the article it appears like text, no link.

Any assistance will help. I am a beginner user, so please give me step by step directions if possible. In other website I have Joomla 2.5 and Phoca works perfectly, Love the extension.

Yes, that's right. There are no available Plugins or Modules for Joomla! 3.x till now. Wait a little bit..
