Can be Phoca SEF for Joomla 1.6 / 1.7 used?

As far as i know, Phoca SEF is still a joomla v1.5 component.

I installed the component in joomla 1.7 and presented the following error when I click on links "redirect site" or "reffering sites" in backend

Fatal error: Call to a member function getUserStateFromRequest() on a non-object in C:\xampp\htdocs\GCCC\administrator\components\com_phocasef\models\phocasefrefs.php on line 27

Yes, as I told above Phoca SEF is still a joomla v1.5 component.
