how to add a link to a map, by clicking on an image ?

Dear all,

I'm using phoca maps component+plugin, with joomla 1.7, and i would like, if possible, to add a link to a map, by clicking on an image ?

=> is it possible to modify the plugin code {phocamaps view=link|id=1|text=Map} , in order to have an image link instead of a text link ?
