Zoom problems

I haven't been able to find an answer on the following:
regardless of the latitude, longitude and zoom value entered in the basic map data, I always get the same display of the map in my site - centered around the Mediterranean with half of Europe and half of Africa showing.
I'd like to start up with a view of the whole world; what settings must I use?

Just found out the source of the problem...
The settings in the KML file overtook the default settings of the component...
Anyway, all is working fine. Thank you for this nice component
