Download with 0Kb results

Hi There,

I installed Phoca Download. I managed to get one download working. Its an MSI file to install a windows program. I tried to do the same with a Mac-file. I zipped it, I made a DMG, I used WInzip, I did, to my knowledge, everything but when trying to download that file it always returns a file downloaded with 0kb file size. While it actually should be 38mb!

Any help really appreciated cause its drivng me mad..

Hi, try to check your server, if there are no limits - for downloads, etc.

No there are no limits. And it is still possible to download the first one.

When I upload for example a zip-file with the Phoca-download component. You can download it without a problem. So to my opinion it must be something with Apple-Mac and Phoca? My own created files keep giving this strange error.

It is possible that wrong file permissions on the server could cause this issue so please check this.

[edit] Maybe you can run this test.php file with the right filename (incl. path) on your server? What is the result?

I will try that 2morow but then why is it possible that the other file with almost the same size doesnt cause any problem. The problem file is created on a Mac while the oké file is made on à Windows machine.

I have no idea! My zip files created on my MacBook and my Windows machine work! (^_^)

I tried the testfile and it returned as follows:

Error: [2] filesize() [function.filesize]: stat failed for ./phocadownload/Tuyet Trang San Ga - Trinh Tuan Vy.mkv

Does that ring a bell?

This are the result:

Content-Length: 38104766
Content-Range: bytes 0-38104765/38104766

It seems that the content-length is the same as my file size...

Does this info help you to understand my problem?

Now I know that this part of Phoca Download isn't causing this problem! You use Phoca Download 2.x right? Maybe you could provide a link to the Mac-created file so I can test it on my site!?
