Installation Error

Hi all

I have a problem with installing Phoca PDF
I installed Joomla 2.5.1
The current version of Phoca PDF downloaded
selected under Joomla extensions package and then install,

Error Message
the extension is not installed and I get the error message
Component installation database function does not generate error messages
Error during component installation.

Hi, yes I have uninstalled manually componenten via FTP,
also the two files in the folder language.
But phoca pdf can not be installed...

Hi, really no idea what can be wrong on your server, testing now and it works ok. Joomla! installs the component the standard way - like other extensions, the XML is standard to install

thanks for your answer, unfortunately, I have no answer to the problem found.
Phoca Gallery and Guestbook are working properly.

I've the same problem with Joomla 2.5.1 and component com_phocapdf_v2.0.4.zip
I've tried installation transferring component via FTP in Joomla installation folder and then install from there both install from zip source.
Everytime I got error :
Component Installation: DB function does not generate error messages
Error during component installation.

Something goes into Joomla DB Table jos_extension, because I found a record there regarding Phoca PDF .
Other records are in joe_menu (COM_PHOCAPDF_FONTS,COM_PHOCAPDF_INFO,COM_PHOCAPDF_PLUGINS,COM_PHOCAPDF,COM_PHOCAPDF_CONTROLPANEL)
The only way to remove that record i via SQL DELETE from Table...
Is not possible to remove using the Joomla uninstall tool because no XML file setup is present.

By the way, cleaning Joomla installation and try again It doesn't work.

The Phoca PDF Plugin content plg_phocapdf_content_v2.0.5.zip could be install without problem!

PhocaGallery and PhocaGallery tree works great !

Hi, really no idea what can be wrong there, Phoca PDF has the same installation procedure like Phoca Gallery or Phoca Download - the installation xml is still the same and the install procedure is made by Joomla! itself

I am also experiencing trouble with the installation of the component. When I click "install" component from the joomla extension manager, I get the following error.

DB function failed with error number 1146 Table 'ele1119606075823.jos_plugins' doesn't exist SQL=SELECT p.name, p.id, p.published, u.name AS editor, g.name AS groupname FROM jos_plugins AS p LEFT JOIN jos_users AS u ON u.id = p.checked_out LEFT JOIN jos_groups AS g ON g.id = p.access WHERE p.folder = 'phocapdf' OR ( p.folder = 'system' AND p.element = 'phocapdfcontent') GROUP BY p.id

Luckily, nothing else was affected and I could disable the component. Any ideas on how to over come this? I really would like to use the nifty PDF features on my website.
