Frontend Upload No Error but No Files get uploaded

Hi,
When I try to upload an image (JPG) using the frontend I get no errors but the file never gets uploaded to the server or in the Phoca. I can upload using the backend with no problem.
**I'm logging in with an Admin account, have made sure in the Category permission that Upload is enabled for all registered users.
**I can delete and unpublish via frontend with no problem.
**I have made sure the file size is way below the allowed size.
**I'm using Joomla 1.5.3 with FTP enabled.

Dont' know what else to check and how to go about troubleshooting and fixing it.

??? try to change the permissions of temp folder (joomla/tmp/)

I set /www/tmp to 777 and /www/images/phocagallery is also 777 but still doing the same thing, very strange.

The problem was actually the Joomla template not set up to show me the ""User folder was not defined" message. After I was able to see the error then I created the proper forlder and it is working fine.
