If a user clicks on a file / category that is above their ACL, they get a blue Joomla message saying:

Please login to download the file

There is also a "Logout" Button displayed below the message.

This is very confusing!!


Can we have a feature where we set a custom message for this circumstance with a message such as:

This file is for { ACL Setting } members only. Click here to upgrade your membership.

Thanks, that is a good start and I have just applied your advice.

Can we have something a little more dynamic for future release? A custom page displaying a message of our own choosing?

Hi, search this forum where I have explained why it is hard to implement items into parameters (e.g. Phoca Gallery has problems because of many parameters and suhosin extension on server will prevent from running it )

There are thousands of possible parameters which can be added but becasue of limits (server, performance, time) it is not possible to make them.

Anyway added into feature request list (but really no idea if such parameter will be set )
