Hi,
I'm using the Phoca Download Component for the first time. I've got a weird problem.
Joomla 2.5.3.
com_phocadownload.zip 2.1.6
When you hit the download button the file contents is shown as gibberish in the browser. Tested with multiple browsers.
I see that in the options/general/allowed file types section PDF is defined as "{pdf=application/pdf}" (did not test with other file types though).
You can check it by clicking the Download (İndir) button on the test site:

Any help will be much appreciated.
Bülent

Hi, I see but not sure what can be wrong there? seems like somethings limits the headers sent on your server, try to ask your server provider, if there are no limits?

If you find Phoca extensions useful, please support the project

Re: PDF displayed instead of downloaded
Hi Jan,
I'm running on a VPS, php.ini values are much higher than default. I have several other Joomla sites running on the server without any problem. On another Joomla! 1.5 site I've been using Remository (set to "file storage"), again without any problem.
I'll try to copy the site to local server and see if it is server related.
Thanks
Bülent
