PhocaGallery Image Module breaking 3rd party slideshow in IE

Post by vickipayne »

Hello,
I have found that when I install mod_phocagallery_image_v2.7.5 it causes the JoomlaWorks Frontpage Slideshow to stop working in IE.

I imagine this is a javascript conflict, so I changed the FPSS engine to JQuery, but that didn't help. Also, I tried enabling and disabling the Mootools Upgrade plugin (after switching engine back to Mootools), but still no change.

I am using Joomla 1.5.25, Phoca Gallery 2.8.1, and Frontpage Slideshow 3.2.0 (all current versions).

Please let me know if anyone has an idea about how to fix this. We had hoped to use the PG Image Module on several sites, but cannot until the conflict is resolved.

Thank you!

Hi, again - I just wanted to clarify my above post a little - I am still finding that Phoca Image module causes the latest version (3.2.0) of FPSS to break (no matter what JQuery settings I use for FPSS, including "do not load JQuery").

However, we've found that an older version of FPSS (2.9) will indeed work with Phoca Image module, as long as JQuery is selected as the engine in FPSS rather than MooTools.

It would be nice to be able to use the newer FPSS version of course, but for now we have still not been able to find where the conflict is stemming from.

Thank you,
Vicki

Hi, see similar posts in this forum or joomla org forum. In fact it is very difficult to find problem if two or more extensions load different version of javascript library :-( :-(
