Hide links when not logged in

Post by Katzengreis30 »

I have links for free downloads in the content and also link only for registered users.

Is it possible to hide the registered links when the user is not logged in? I want that this links are only displayed when the user is logged in.

I tried to choose the configuration for "show no links when it is not for public" (or something like this) in all areas. for example: in the configuration of phocadownloads, the categories and articles of joomla.
But it still shows me the links for registered User also when I am not logged in.

Any ideas?

Greetings

Michael

### EDIT: Ok, I tried like the description from Phoca Download. I set "displayed for all user" to no, but it didnt works.

Allowing download for registered users only

You can allow downloading files only for registered users. Such files can be displayed for all users or only for registered users. If they will be displayed for all users, public users can see them but they cannot download them. Only registered users can download them.

Go to Components » Phoca Download » Files. Create new item or edit some existing item. Set Access level to e.g. Registered and set Display Unaccessible File to Yes. Now all users can see the file but only registered can download it.

When I am not logged in, I always can see the download-files in the content which are only for registred users.
So, what can I do??? I want to hide them like the description. I work with Joomla 2.5

please help

Hi, see the concrete file and check the last (or maybe not last but the parameter at the bottom) where you can set that if the file is downloaded for registered only, it can be hidden for public (its displaying can be hidden)
