Using an Image to launch the plugin

Is it possible to launch the map pop-up from an image button? I know the plugin offers the ability to use a text link but how about an image link?

I figured out a work-around that will do for now. I would love to see this as a feature in the future.

I used rokbox to call the component url inside a rokbox window instead of the default phoca maps window. rokbox allows you to use rel="" inside your <a> tags to call the plugin. This allowed me to accomplish this task.
