Phoca Facebook Comments has Unreachable error

Hello,

I have Joomla 2.5.4.
I installed Phoca Facebook Comments (v2.0.7) and Plug in (for Joomla 1.7). I also added this line in my template. > xmlns:fb="http://www.facebook.com/2008/fbml"

I still get this error "Warning: http://(mysite).com/books/about-the-author.html is unreachable.".
When I click on the error link, it says "Bad Response Code: URL returned a bad HTTP response code." & "The 'og:url' property is required, but not present."

Can you help me here..I may be doing something wrong... thanks!

https://www.phoca.cz/phoca-site-plugin

Hi Jan,

I'm having the same problem. I'm sure I setup the app on Facebook right, I did employ th Phoca Open Graph plugin, I added the xmlns statement in the header, and I've looked and tried about everything what has been written here in the forum.

The thing is, the module DOES WORK. I can comment, and the comments are visible on Facebook. And since it is the best one out there, with also the other social buttons integrated, I would like to continue using it

The warning is a big disturbance however and I would like to get rid of it.

The warning text is this: "Warning: http: / /(my site)/2012/index.php/agenda is unreachable."
However, the site url is actually a link and in the bottom of my browser I see the link is:
"http: / /developers.facebook.com/tools/lint?url=http: / /(my site)/2012/index.php/agenda"

Maybe this helps a little more? Also, in my source, in the header, the attributes 'og:url' etcetera ARE present, so that is not it either, although when I click on the errorlink, I get the same as the OP above.

Only one thing I can think of: The site is now in subdirectory /2012/ (new site in development) and in the main domain we have a site running on Joomla as well. In the Facebook app however, I can only put the main domain, mysite.nl and not mysite.nl/2012. Facebook says it is not a valid domain. I'm not sure however if this is the case.
In 'Website with Facebook login' (in the app) however, I did put the actual mysite.nl/2012/ Url.

Also, the Facebook 'send' button gives only an empty square. The other buttons work fine.

Hi, all this needs to be set in the fb application - the domain, so if you get this error, fb still have some problems with your domain/site ???

Ok, can you please point me where I go wrong then? I'm using Phoca Facebook Comment on this website:
http://www.crystalvenue.nl/2012. It is in /2012/ because it is in development. Later it will transfer to the main domain.

In the app I have it setup with domain 'www.crystalvenue.nl' (cannot enter /2012 as Facebook says it is no domain and they are right). Canvas URL and secure canvas URL are 'http(s)://www.crystalvenue.nl/2012/' and the Site URL is setup as 'www.crystalvenue.nl/2012'. This is right I think? Or am I missing something important here?

Oh, and I created the app when logged into Facebook as Crystal Venue, so we are rightfull owner of all.

Greatly appreciated if you could give some help on this.

Hi Jan,

I cannot... crystalvenue.nl/2012 is not accepted as a domain. And it is not, so that's understandable. a domain is only http://www.my_site.nl (or com or whatever). Including a directory /2012/ is not a domain.

Another facebook module I'm using, YT Facebook, does not have the same problem, and is using the same app-ID. To be clear: I was using the Phoca Facebook comments module and it was displaying the error BEFORE I even installed YT Facebook. So it is not a conflict between the two.

If I can find some time I could look at the code from both to see where are the differences, but I'm not a coder.

Ok, testing now on my site without any problem, so maybe you should see the difference
