because of the nature of our project, the whole joomla site has to run in SSL; the problem we face is that, on the page where we use Phoca Map, we found browser giving user warning about mixed insecure content on the page; as we sort through the code, we found out many links Phoca Map use are HTTP rather than HTTPS ... and looks like they don't just get switched over automatically; and there is no such option in the component and plugin as well
is there anyway to fix it? if not, can somebody guide us on where to change out all the http to httpS in the module, plugin, and component, thx
Ringo

Re: Entire Site SSL
Hi, Phoca Maps does not create the links, they are created by Joomla! itself.

Re: Entire Site SSL
Sorry Jan - have to disagree there - its being created by Phoca Maps and the no padlock is coming up in google chrome which is a bloody nightmare.
Try - http://www.whynopadlock.com and enter http://www.localtradeclub.com/clublist and your get this result.
The google.com/jsapi reference is directly related to the google map plugin on the page
Total number of items: 98
Number of insecure items: 1
Insecure URL: http://www.google.com/jsapi
Found in: https://localtradeclub.com/clublist
As more than one of us are encountering this problem think it needs looking into and a fix posted.

Re: Entire Site SSL
OK found the fix
First you need admin tools from akeeba- https://www.akeebabackup.com/products/admin-tools.html
Once you installed it go to the componant, click SEO and Link tools, scroll down till you find "Convert all links to HTTPS when site is accessed over SSL"
Select to yes
Issue seems to fix temporarily then reoccurred.
Cleaned the cache - seems to be solved - will leave it a while and update.

Re: Entire Site SSL
I just registered on this site to tell everybody that piprees solution works exactly for this problem. Congratulations!!!!
My problem, was that I was loading Phoca Maps through a website, but when I accessed it through HTTPS, it didn't load the component of maps, only in Chrome. As I understood the problem was that Chrome didn't like switching, from https to http for the call of http://www.google.com/jsapi so it blocked the connection and the javascript didn't run. I tried to find where in PhocaMaps Component was the call of Google's jsapi, but didn't find anything unfortunately. So a big thank you to Dionysopoulos Nikolaos for Admin Tools, which solved my problem directly.

Re: Entire Site SSL
HI, Indeed this solution solved the SSL problem with Phoca Maps, but it introduced a new, much more complicated error:
When you switch on "Convert all links to HTTPS when site is accessed over SSL" to YES in Akeeba Admin Tools (menu "Seo And Links Tools"), then this setting converts also ALL http links in articles and modules to https and when a visitor follows such a https-link he gets an error, because the site is http, not https...
I've posted this problem in Joomla-forum: http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f ... 2#p2932462
So I have to look further for a solution to this non-compliance for SSL of Phoca Maps ?? If this is a bug in Phoca Maps, can it be solved ?
Thanks !
Gerard

Re: Entire Site SSL
Hi, as written above, Phoca Maps does not create any links and do not add any ssl behaviour, this is done by the system (joomla, server, etc). Of course, if there will be some solution, which can be added to Phoca Maps, I can take a look at it to implement it.
