OK, I'm a rank rookie. Using Joomla only a couple of weeks, and only today got Phoca Gallery.
I've read the documentation but I still have some areas of confusion.
Issue 1. As best I can see, I have to manually create folders on my server to corrospond to the categories. That I've done, but is there a way to do that from the front? I want certain users to have the ability to create their own categories and galleries.
My site is a family photo gallery divided into three main categories. Browns, Siegels, and users. The first are family names which I will maintain myself. Under the Siegels, I have on the server the following subfolders: 30's 40's 50's, etc. I want each of those folders to be defined as a gallery, but for the life of me I can't figure it out.
Thanks in advance for the patience of the heros. Someday, I hope that I will also be a member of your group.

Re: Understanding categories and galleries
Hi, there is no such possibility (create folders from frontend)
