Thanks, I'll check it out.
Oh, just one more question: how about the templates which are included with the Joomla 2.5 core installation? Are they know for having or not having conflicts with Phoca Pdf?

Re: Phoca PDF stopped
Hi, I experience the same error message as oorzaak when reinstalling PhocaPDF. And unfortunately, I can't do a fresh Joomla install. Do have any ideas on that?

After upgrading from 2.5.3 to 2.5.4 the same issue is back. Phoca Pdf stopped working: no icons, no way of accessing Phoca Pdf in the back end of the site.
Again I tried reinstalling, again I got this message:
If you have any suggestions I'd be grateful.Component Install: DB function reports no errors, Error installing component
Kind regards, Frits

Hi, did you full install it - to have the icons in content files?

Yes, I did. I don't know much about how joomla handles the installation process. Could it be that there is a database entry in the extensions table which has to be erased before installing again?Jan wrote:Hi, did you full install it - to have the icons in content files?

Re: Phoca PDF stopped
Just experienced - and fixed - this problem myself. I think it may be caused by a previous uninstall which fails in some way. I had PhocaPDF on my site for testing some time (months) ago, and removed it because I wasn't using it. Got the same errors as previous posters when I tried to reinstall this morning.
It turns out that the install was failing part way through - despite the error messages, PhocaPDF was there on the admin components menu (but gave a 404 error on following the link), and appeared as an Administrator component when I went to Extensions > Manage. Uninstalling from there didn't fix the reinstall problem. So I went directly into the database, searched for 'phocapdf' (which shouldn't have been showing any results, because I had just 'uninstalled' it). Found three entries - two in the #_extensions table, and one in the #_assets table. Deleted all three of those rows, went back to the J!2.5 admin control panel and tried the PhocaPDF install again - all now working as it should.
Whilst I wouldn't recomment fiddling directly with the database (backup etc etc before doing so ...) this did appear to be necessary in this case.
