Phoca 2.0.4
Joomla 2.5
I created a map and a marker. I got this plugin code from the maps page: {phocamaps view=map|id=1}
I place that into my article and the article shows: {phocamaps view=map|id=1}
No map. Just the code.
If I set this up as a menu item, I see the map. Very nice. Just the right map, just the right marker. But I want it in an article. Any advice?
No map appears in article, just the command code

Probably you did not install the plugin or it's not enable ... check your 'plugin manager' if "Phoca Maps Plugin" is installed and enabled.

Re: No map appears in article, just the command code
Hi,
I'm facing the same problem here. I've downloaded the Phoca Maps Component from the URL bellow:
https://www.phoca.cz/download/category/3 ... -component
The instalation seemed to go OK and the Phoca Maps component appears. However, I see no Phoca Maps under Plugins Manager. Did I miss something?
Thanks!

I forgot to mention that I'm using Joola! 2.5.6. Is there a Phoca Maps Plugin for Joomla 2.5.x?
Thanks again!

Never mind: I googled "Phoca Maps Plugin Download" and found it! I wasn't able to find it by just navigating through the website. Maybe a link refering the pluging would have helped... Sorry for any inconvenience

Thanks!

Re: No map appears in article, just the command code
Hi, I'm having this issue as well.
I'm using Joomla 2.5.6 and I got the Phoca Maps Component ('plg_phocamaps_v2.0.5.zip') from https://www.phoca.cz/download/category/3 ... aps-plugin
(BTW, what's the difference between that link and this one? https://www.phoca.cz/download/category/3 ... aps-plugin
I created a map and a marker. I got this plugin code from the maps page: {phocamaps view=map|id=1}
I place that into my article and the article shows: {phocamaps view=map|id=1}
No map. Just the code.
I've tried it in the html editor, the visual editor, I've tried re-typing the { and } on both sides. No difference.
and also just like BillsBayou if I set this up as a menu item, I see the map. I need it in an article.
I've also tried this on MAMP and on my site, but no difference
Any advice please

Re: No map appears in article, just the command code
Hi!
You need to download both the component (in order to create the map with the location, icons and everything the way you want it to look like) and the plugin (in order to make the tag {phocamaps...} work).
The Phoca website seemed a little confusing to me at first, but everything is there. If you have a hard time trying to find what you need, you can always google "Phoca Maps Plugin Donwload" and you're redirected directly to what you need to download.
Hope it helps.
Cheers,
Luís Talora

Re: No map appears in article, just the command code
Ahhh OK I got it,
I just got confused because these two pages so identical, I couldn't tell the difference between the plugin and the component page, hence leading me to think that I already installed it... to spell it out;
to make it all work you need to;
1. Go to; https://www.phoca.cz/download/category/3 ... -component
2. download the Phoca Maps PLUGIN plg_phocamaps_v2.0.5.zip.
3. Then go to; https://www.phoca.cz/download/category/3 ... aps-plugin
4. download the Phoca Maps COMPONENT com_phocamaps_v2.0.5.zip.
thanks everyone, this plugin is awesome!
